The Importance Of Being In Flow

Good Sunday to you!

I hope you can enjoy this beautiful summer, despite the probing challenges of this year.

It’s teaching us a lot of things. The most important lessons – also confirmed by my clients – is to listen to ourselves, to learn to be in flow.

You probably heard about Flow and Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, the Hungarian-American psychologist.

Being in flow is crucial in all aspects of our lives – be it our work or private life.

Also at work? Many would nay. “I go to the office to fight, to survive, to earn my living. Work is a challenge, a suffering, or just dull and I need to keep going.”.

Is that true? And most importantly, when and how are we in flow at work?

Let me show this to you in a small chart.

You are in flow at work when the challenges, your tasks are in synch with your skills, with your capabilities.

There is a natural channel, where you grow.

Why is it so important?

You can be outside of flow, either by being overchallenged or underchallenged.

If you are way overchallenged for an extended period of time – for any reasons – it first starts with constant stress, then comes anxiety and it ends in burn-out. Not fun. Believe me.

If you are underchallenged for a long period of time – again, for any reasons – it may feel boring first, then it sinks into boredom, which results in depression. Not fun, either.

Been there, done that, both ends.

Then I started to seek meaning, seeking who am I, what do I want to do from the bottom of my heart. What do I do best, that also gives my joy, fulfillment, satisfaction.

Although I miss certain aspects of my corporate career, I am way happier, balanced and grounded with what I do now. It was a bumpy journey, but it was all worth it.

Think about it - what are the aspects of your work that give you statisfaction, joy, meaning? What inspires you to be truly creative, authentic and give the best of yourself to make an impact?

If you don’t know that answers, I am inviting you now to an exploration, where I would share with you the methods and insights, that have helped me to find what is the work I was born to do.

After helping hundreds of people during 1-1 coaching sessions to find their passion and meaning at work, I put together a new 4-week online course, so that I can help more people.

The course consists of weekly short video modules to guide you and fun worksheet exercises that you work on for yourself. Additional weekly Q&A live videos in a closed Facebook group will help with more insights, and the private group ensures for a lively and fun networking opportunity.

Since this is the first time I run this brand-new course, I am offering it for FREE.

It starts August 3rd, application deadline MIDNIGHT TONIGHT.

Hurry up, this is available for a short time only!
